A: Areachurches.com is a directory of churches in
Augusta, Georgia, Aiken, South Carolina and the surrounding
Central Savannah River Area. The site was created by Teresa
Putnam of TheWebDept.biz.
You may call areachurches.com at (706) 650-1744.
This site is designed to provide a convenient way for people all over the world to find detailed information about our local churches. It allows them to view local church Web Pages without even knowing the Web address of that Web Page. It makes it easy to locate many Bible and church related resources that are available on the World Wide Web.
Q: Is there a charge to list a Church Name with areachurches.com? A: No. We want every Church Name in the CSRA to appear on the
list absolutely free. Q: Is there a charge to list detailed information about my church? A: Yes. If a church desires to make more information available to the
reader, then there are low cost Plans available that are
affordable to churches of every size.
When a church has signed up for any of these plans, the Church Name becomes a Link to that additional information.
Q: What Plans are available and what do they cost? A: There are two main Plans to choose from.
Plan A allows a church to display any or all of the information listed under Plan A. The cost for Plan A is just $3 a month. (That's about 9 cents a day!) There is a one time setup fee of $3.00. Additional denominational pages are $1.00 a month.
Plan B includes much more information and costs only $6 a month. Additional denominational pages are $1.00 a month. There is a one time setup fee of $6.00.
Both of these Plans provide a Link to the church's own Web Page, if the church already has one. Web Pages will be discussed in greater detail later.These plans also allow you to post your special monthly church events (speakers, revivals, dinners, etc.) on the Community Calendar link on the main page. You can call or email your church event information to us at anytime.

will reflect the terms used by your faith. The term "Pastor"
is used here as an example.

Q: What if my church doesn't have a Web Page? Can we still use Plan
A or B?
A: Yes. As a matter of fact, Plan B was designed specifically for churches
that do not have their own Web Page. However, The
Web Dept can design a Web Page for your church (or business),
probably for less than you think. Churches with a Web Page
are more likely to choose Plan A.
The list of things that can be included on your Web Page is virtually endless. You can have text, pictures, graphics and Links, just to name a few. As you view other churches Web Pages, you will get a good idea of what you might like to say about your church. And, your Web Page can be updated at any time.
One of the best things about having your own Web Page is that once the work is done, it belongs to you. Please don't hesitate to call us to explore the possibilities and answer any questions that you may have. That phone number again is (706) 650-1744.
Q: If a church has a Web Page, doesn't the church have to use an Internet
Access provider to allow people to see it? Doesn't that
cost about $20 a month?
A: A church or anyone else for that matter does
not have to have Internet access to have a Web Page on the
Internet. We will be glad to give you more details or answer
any questions you might have.
Remember, if your church does not already have a Web Page, The Web Dept can make one for you!
Q: What do I need to do to arrange for my church to be included in areachurches.com?
A: Anyone can arrange for his or her church to be listed. Of course,
we prefer that someone who has the authority to speak for
the church in business matters make the arrangements.
A member of the church might volunteer to sponsor (pay for) the service for their church by making a special donation earmarked to pay the bill. Then someone from the church office can make the arrangements.

Q: Can anyone other than churches be listed in areachurches.com?
A: Yes. There is a separate link on the main page called "Local
Christian Resources" for local businesses that supply
church related products or services. There are also links
to pages for "Local Christian Media", and "Poetry".
